The craft behind every community.
Adults share things with us they share nowhere else. So how we build matters as much as what we build.
What we build by
Privacy is the first feature
Every photo is stripped of where, when and who before anyone sees it. Faces can be covered before a picture ever leaves the phone. And anyone can drop off the map in a single tap.
Our code, end to end
Communities like ours can lose a service overnight. So everything members depend on runs on code we wrote and own. When something breaks, we fix it the same night.
Small team, serious checks
Every change runs the full test suite, and every page opens in a real browser before it ships. When something slips through anyway, we write down why, and the lesson becomes a rule.
Shared where it’s safe
Communities have always passed knowledge hand to hand. We do the same with code: our hardest lessons in the open, our best tools free to use. What protects our members stays ours.
Lessons, earned

Found something? Tell us first
If you find a way into member data on any of our communities, write to [email protected]. A person reads every report, and you'll hear back within 3 business days.
- Don’t create accounts to test. Ask, and we’ll set one up for you.
- Never open, change or keep another member’s data. If you reach some by accident, stop and tell us.
- No load testing, flooding or high-volume scanning.
- Don’t try to trick our staff or members.
- Give us time to fix it before you tell anyone else.
The services we use for payments, email and video are theirs to test, not ours. Good-faith research that follows these rules is welcome, and once it's fixed, your name goes here if you want it.
